During this process you’ll also need to schedule showings. This can also be stressful. Buyers tend to be the instant gratification need-to-see-this-now types.
Do you want to show only on the weekends, weeknights or by appointment only? What do you do when buyers arrive? When should you follow them and explain something and when are you over-explaining (thus killing the sale)?
A few tips when showing a property:
- Allow buyers some space
- Focus on features that are money savers for the buyer
- Make sure pets and kids are not on the premises
- Eliminate all odors and clutter
- Keep the pressure off, don’t rush the buyers
- Give the buyers additional information
- Have the Seller leave the house when your agent is showing
